Markets are open on Sunday night
April 15th Wed. is the last trading day for April Hogs
USDA to resurvey farmers in 4 states about unharvested corn and bean acres.
If need be they will report changes on the May 12th USDA report.
Friday and today (Sat.) 2 more meat plants closed cuz of the virus. They could be back up and running this week after cleaning there facility.
Ukraine has some dry soil conditions ahead of there corn plantings. Must keep an eye on that development. US Corn is still the cheapest around.
Can it be!!! Cattle, Hogs, Wheat, Corn and soybeans closed higher for the week
OH MY
The Brazil Real gained on the US Dollar which would help grains for a bounce.
May corn 328 and May Wheat 538.25 holding above those numbers on a closing basis.
Could there be a dimmer of light to shine on commodity contracts. We had the USDA report give us the bear number for corn and ethanol demand and the market held up. HMMMM Nice to be shocked how cheap the Easter Hams are. As low as 89 cents a pound.
